Ben Cader-Beutel
Risk Engineering Associate
Ben Cader-Beutel joined New Energy Risk in 2022. As a risk engineering associate, he is responsible for working with stakeholders to understand techno-economic risk, developing risk transfer solutions and guiding our clients through the diligence and execution process.
Prior to NER, Ben was a postgraduate program fellow at the University of Pennsylvania where he helped grow an early-stage sustainability startup in Austin, Texas. During the program and among his various responsibilities, Ben discovered his passion for business development. Prior to this hands-on commercial experience, as an undergraduate researcher Ben built simulations of polymer-colloid systems, used commonly in latex paints and coatings, to study making them more effective and sustainable.
A Toronto, Canada native, Ben graduated from the University of Michigan in 2021 with a BSE in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Business Administration. As part of his capstone project, he designed a pilot-scale plant using a novel production pathway for the synthesis of dexamethasone.
Once a competitive rower, today Ben stays active by running and cycling the San Francisco hills and maintaining a regular yoga practice.
