Managing Director of Technical Due Diligence

Brad Price joined New Energy Risk in May 2021 as principal engineer and was promoted to managing director of technical due diligence in 2022. Brad brings a breadth of knowledge in the chemical process industry related to the design, commissioning, startup, optimization, and day-to-day operations of multibillion-dollar petrochemical assets. He is also an expert in the field of process safety management. Brad has a passion for technology development, especially related to the advancement of the circular economy.

Prior to joining NER, Brad worked for a major multinational petrochemical company. His varied career has included the design and operation of many of the largest and most complex petrochemical processes in the world, including ethylene, polyethylene, metathesis, hydrogenation, and 1-hexene technology. He has worked both domestically and overseas on a five-year international expatriate assignment. His combination of both technical expertise and hands-on operating experience makes him an asset to the NER team. Brad was deeply involved in the development of his previous company’s circular plastics business, including the first commercial trial to produce new “virgin” plastic from waste plastic.

Brad received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in International Political Economy from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas.

Outside of work, Brad enjoys travelling and exploring the outdoors with his family.
