Kevin Broich joined New Energy Risk in 2025 as an Executive Underwriter with a focus on renewable energy tax credits. Kevin has over a decade of experience in corporate tax restructuring, focusing on developing cash tax efficient corporate solutions in connection with liquidity assessment and business planning.
Prior to joining New Energy Risk, Kevin spent most of his career in the mergers & acquisitions consulting practices at Big Four accounting firms. While there, Kevin developed teams and advised clients on complex transactions in a multi-disciplinary context, including corporate reorganizations, acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancings. Such transactions often required flexible model preparation that facilitated various scenarios contemplated as a result of client business, legal, or financial needs. Kevin brings significant experience in the energy sector, providing consultation to clients such as Peabody Energy, FirstEnergy, PacifiCorp, Enviva, and others on intricate tax matters.
Kevin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota where he studied Philosophy, Psychology and Mathematics. Kevin graduated with honors and received his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law and is licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
