Jamie Brache

Jamie Brache joined New Energy Risk in May 2021. He brings with him over two decades of experience in insurance, finance, and renewable energy.

Before joining New Energy Risk, Jamie served as a senior director of business development at kWh Analytics, a solar analytics and risk management company. Prior to kWh, Jamie held various senior roles at Zurich Insurance rising to the level of deputy global head of Zurich’s credit and political risk underwriting team. In that role he was responsible for strategic planning and key operational initiatives as well as the coordination of overseas offices, among other mission critical duties.

Jamie also has deep expertise investing in renewable energy projects around the world. In his position as a senior investment officer for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund (“REEF”), he led due diligence, financial structuring, and contract negotiations on solar, biomass, and small hydro projects in emerging markets. Jamie has also worked at the Development Finance Corp. (formerly OPIC) and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador where he designed and built potable water systems.

Jamie has an MBA from Boston University and a BA in History and Latin American Studies from Georgetown University. Outside the office, Jamie loves camping, skiing, and cycling.
